The situation

A London residential tower block needed a secure store cupboard for its caretaker team. The aim was to provide a practical place for day-to-day equipment and supplies.

The response

The published account records construction and installation of a new cupboard, with attention to usable storage and secure access. This was a defined maintenance and improvement task rather than a whole-building refurbishment.

What to consider

Storage work should be planned around its location, contents and access requirements. In shared buildings, the specification should also account for circulation routes and any building-management requirements before materials and fittings are agreed.
